A couple of people who tried to beat the heat in the great outdoors are
thinking about what they've done. Two hikers who got lost in the
Buntzen Lake area have Coquitlam Search and Rescue to thank. Crews
managed to find them after a frustrating search. Dwight Yochim with
Coquitlam Search and Rescue says the area is extremely dangerous. He
says it's very steep and there's a lot of up and down from one peak to
another. He also says there is at least two to three feet of snow in
some of the pockets. Crews had only been able to get in touch with the
hikers by cell phone. They're not injured but are tired and only have
a tarp and an orange garbage bag with them.
