The team is involved in between 40 and 60 tasks per year, from lost hikers on Eagle Ridge to missing skiiers on the North Shore. We're called to assist other teams in the Province, and sometimes in Washington State. This is a log of tasks the team has been involed in.

2 Coquitlam SAR members responded to rescue a
mother and child who were overcome by darkness
on the trails in Minnekhada Park. A Coquitlam SAR
member was in the park at the time and assisted the
two individuals. to the trail head.

Saturday, 11 March 2006 |
12 North Shore Rescue, 5 Coquitlam SAR members
and 10 convergent volunteers responded to search
for a missing hiker in the Lynn Headwaters area.
The hiker, and exchange student from Germany was wearing exceptionally bad footwear and could no longer walk after crossing Lynn Headwaters and freezing his boots. He was found in good condition, brought out
by helicopter and then was released after being
assessed.

43 Kent Harrison SAR, Central Fraser Valley SAR, Surrey SAR,
Mission SAR, Ridge Meadows SAR, Hope SAR, Lions Bay SAR,
Coquitlam SAR, Chilliwack SAR and North Shore Rescue members responded to search for a missing 44 year
old male in the Fraser Valley. SAR was stood down when the male was
located at his residence on 08 Mar.

Coquitlam Search and Rescue was called to assist North Shore Rescue in the search for Coquitlam artist Kwi Am Choi on Sunday February 4th. North Shore rescue had been out the previous night, searching the mountain with many members, a helicopter and parachute flares to attract the missing man. Choi, 52, was reported missing around 10pm Saturday by his family after he failed to return from a day hike up the Grouse Grind.

15 North Shore Rescue and 9 Coquitlam SAR
members responded to search for a missing
snowboarder on Cypress Mountain" title="wikipedia: //www.cypressmountain.com/" title="Cypress Mountain Ski Resort" class="simply_extern">Cypress Mountain" target="_blank">//www.cypressmountain.com/" title="Cypress Mountain Ski Resort" class="simply_extern">Cypress Mountain. The SAR team
located the snowboarder in a gully at approximately 300m elevation where he had stopped to seek shelter for the night. He had almost descended the mountain in the dark without the aid of a flashlight. Most other individuals who have attempted this feat have perished. He was escorted to the
road where he was attended to by medical
personnel. The snowboarder was in good condition
and was released by the paramedics.
