Coquitlam SAR was called to assist BC Ambulance with the evacuation of an injured 21 year old woman at Buntzen Lake on Tuesday evening. Members, who were already attending an executive meeting, responded to the Buntzen Lake parking lot, meeting BC Ambulance, and Sasamat Fire Rescue services on scene. BC Hydro Park wardens and members of the public had already transported the subject from the scene of the accident near cliffs on the east side of the lake to the boat launch, where she was attended to by BCAS.

The subject had a serious compound fracture of her left ankle, and other minor injuries consistent with a fall.
