We’d like to highlight the actions of our missing hiker on this search – when lost he found shelter, weathered the storm, and found his way out on his own.
One Saturday October 2nd, while 6 Coquitlam SAR members were assisting North Shore Rescue, we were notified by BC Ambulance of an injured hiker on the Diez Vistas trail near Buntzen Lake.
Subject of search on Eagle Ridge was stranded for three days on a cliff ledge.
Coquitlam SAR was activated by Coquitlam RCMP at approximately 5:30 PM on Wednesday April 27th for two stranded hikers near Mount Beautiful. The two young men, between 19 and 21 years old, reported that they were exhausted and cold, with very little additional food or clothing.
Yesterday afternoon at 13:30 Coquitlam SAR was activated to rescue two lost hikers on the Diez Vistas trail near Buntzen Lake.
