Coquitlam Search and Rescue would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rose Blake. Rose was a lifelong friend to Coquitlam SAR members Al and Pat Hurley, having lived next door to the family for over fifty years. Over the years Rosie has honoured the team with several generous donations, making her our single largest private donor. In addition, she wrote many a letter to the editor praising our efforts to the press and was not shy about letting them know when she felt that press coverage was inadequate for one of our rescues.

Rose was present for the Coquitlam SAR's 2008 Christmas party where we recognised her as the team's biggest supporter.
