Coquitlam RCMP asked Coquitlam SAR to assist in the search for a missing 44 year old male from the Westwood Plateau area of Coquitlam, BC this week.
Nicola Candeloro was last seen on Thursday July 3rd near his home on Westwood Plateau. Coquitlam SAR Managers consulted with the RCMP on Friday in an attempt to determine a probable search area. Later on Friday afternoon the team was activated after a member of the public reported seeing someone matching Mr Candeloro’s description. SAR members searched throughout the afternoon and into the evening, covering a large wilderness on area on Eagle Mountain adjacent to the subdivision.
Coquitlam SAR was activated again on Saturday, July 5th to cover areas between the subject’s home, and the possible sighting. After consulting with RCMP, SAR teams again covered parks, trails and wilderness areas thoroughly.
Mr Candeloro’s family and friends continue to search for him throughout Coquitlam, and Coquitlam SAR’s management team is consulting with the RCMP on where we might be able to assist them.
While Coquitlam SAR does not require assistance at this time, the RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mr Candeloro.

• 44 year old Caucasian male
• Short salt and pepper hair
• 5’11 177lbs
• Brown eyes
• He was last seen wearing a white tank top, grey shorts, white runners and possibly sunglasses
• He was last seen leaving his residence in Coquitlam and was going for a walk in the Eagle Mountain area and Westwood Plateau.
